Het WK motorcross keert volgend jaar terug in Nederland. The Grote Prijs van Nederland is on the Preliminary Calendar for Sunday 20 August and will be held at Motorsportpark Gelderland Midden in Arnhem. Dit seizon ontbrak Nederland in the program WK.
In eerste instante zouzen de motocrossers uit onder meer de MXGP en MX2 eind maart racen op circuit De Witte Ruysheuvel in Oss. Vanwege vergunningsperikelen moest de Grote Prijs van Nederland echter worden geschrapt. On the track in Oss, they met Infront Moto Racing, the promoter of WK motocross. Last year we were first on the program.
De GP van Nederland keert nu dus volgend jaar terug op de motocrosskalender, maar dan wel in Arnhem en niet in Oss. Het seizon starts March 12 in Argentina and October 15 in Great Britain. Het is de meaning dat het seizon bestaat uit twintig grands prix, maar daarvan zijn er drie nog niet ingeulvund. On October 22 in France, the Motocross of Nations opened the Teams Team for Land Teams.
Jeffrey Herlings claimed the MXGP title. The 28-year-old Brabander stood dit hele seizon aan de kant because of a foot operation in het voorjaar. Herlings hope to start the next season again fit aan de start of the new season. Slovenian Tim Gajser lost as part of weldkampioen. Glenn Coldenhoff was the best Dutchman in the Western Kingdom, in second place.
