Donald Trump Discloses Joe Biden’s Response After Assassination Attempt

In a recent Fox News interview, former President Donald Trump recounted a phone conversation he had with President Joe Biden following the assassination attempt on him during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania. Trump, who emerged unharmed from the July 13 incident, described Biden as saying he was “lucky” to have turned his head at the crucial moment.

The attack took place in Butler, Pennsylvania, when 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks fired at Trump. The former president narrowly avoided injury by turning to look at a chart on a screen as the shots rang out. Secret Service agents swiftly subdued Crooks and protected Trump.

Trump reflected on his conversation with Biden, calling it “a nice conversation.” He recounted Biden’s remark, “You’re lucky you turned to the right,” suggesting that Biden had been briefed on the incident. Trump agreed, saying, “I think so.”

Trump also shared that Secret Service agents initially prepared to put him on a stretcher due to fears of a gunshot wound to his abdomen. Despite the significant amount of blood, Trump insisted he was only grazed on the ear and refused to be taken out on a stretcher. “I just felt it was the ear,” he said, recounting his insistence on standing up despite the agents’ concerns.

Additionally, Trump questioned Biden’s physical and mental fitness for office, suggesting a possible lack of transparency from the White House regarding Biden’s health. “I think somebody has to look at it,” Trump stated. “Look, you had people that lied to the American public. And I tell you what, you ought to take a look at his doctors because his doctors keep giving him this wonderful report.”

Trump also revealed he had a meeting with Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle following the attack, saying, “She came to see me, actually.”
