The Baxbier brewery and the Just in Beer specialty brewery are organizing a beer festival on May 20 and 21 at Baxbier on the Friesestraatweg in Groningen. The festival falls on two anniversaries: the fifth anniversary of Just in Beer and the fifth edition of Bucks ’own beer festival.
Breweries from the Netherlands, Germany, Finland, France and the USA are in the lineup of the festival. Music will be provided by local musical talents. Tickets cost 15 euros and can be purchased at the brewery, Just in Beer and online at the Baxbier and Just in Beer websites. For this amount, visitors will receive a special anniversary glass, two beer tokens and a program booklet.
“Our store on Folkingestraat has been around for 5 years. We didn’t want to miss it. And with whom is it better to celebrate this than with Bucksbury? ” said John Kilman of Just in Beer Groningen Online Chimes. Co-owner Stevan van der Werf added: “Bax brews very good beer. They have a fantastic location on the water, so it doesn’t matter! ”
Casper Hidema of Baxbier is also delighted with the festival: “Because of the crown our annual festivals have been canceled in recent years. When the guys from Just in Beer called us, we thought it would be great to celebrate the fifth issue of our International Craft Beer Festival with them. ”
