Resulting from a “human error” when sending an e-mail, 5 hundred e-mail addresses of pensioners at pension fund ABP had been leaked. A spokeswoman confirms this after reporting by De Telegraaf.
In response to the spokesperson, the e-mail addresses have been entered within the fallacious enter subject. They need to have been entered on the so-called BCC line. Consequently, recipients of an electronic mail have no idea to which addresses the message has been despatched. However as a substitute the e-mail addresses on the CC line had been stuffed in, in order that the e-mail addresses of all recipients had been seen.
ABP manages the pensions for individuals who work in training or for the federal government. The info leak has now been reported to the Dutch Information Safety Authority, based on the spokeswoman. All involved have been notified.
